This space was created by the oh-so-talented team at Castor. Featured here are the Castor Stool and the Spring Chair, both available through Matter. Also, here is a great article about the Castor folks. We approve.

Happy Robert Burns day to our Glasgow-based friends at Timorous Beasties. Robert Burns was a Scottish 18th century Romantic poet well known for his fondness of Scotch as much as his lyrical mastery. Pictured is a detail of Timorous Beasties "London Toile" textile. Bottoms up!

MatterMade designer, Marc Ganzglass' latest venture is the Space for Art and Industry in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Opening this Saturday, January 28th is the exhibition, Collected work of Matthew Lewandowski. Matthew Lewandowski (b. 1932 Warsaw, d. 2011 New York) was a tool and die maker based in Brooklyn who specialized in steel dies used for the stamping of hollow-form earrings. Oldie but a goodie..so many Matter favorites in his project. The Lewis + Dizon design for the Aspen Social Club utilizes a tall version of Blind Stool by Castor, as well as the Valdes Chairs by Christian Valdes (not pictured here).
