Danish artist, Tenka Gammelgaard's studio seems like an inspiring place to work. The warm bits of yellow amidst the black and white are perfect. "Dear Ingo" lamp by Ron Gilad for Moooi is available from Matter! More images here.

The last remaining ferry to transport newly arrived US immigrants from Ellis Island to Manhattan has been transformed into the floating home of Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs. The Yankee Ferry was built in 1907 and was initially used by the US Army during World War I. More of Navid Baraty's photos of the boat are viewable here. While some of the rooms are a bit kooky, the ones that preserve the spirit of the ship are truly amazing. And they even have chickens!

It's amazing when interior space becomes a window into the inhabitant's mind. This is Picasso's studio in Barcelona. You can see images of his other homes, as well as those of Mondrian, Monet, and Dali aqui.
