What forms of payment are accepted online? Matter currently accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Are credit card transactions secure? Yes. All credit card information sent to mattermatters.com is completely encrypted. Once you begin your checkout process everything will go through our secure server.
Can I make a purchase if I do not want to use my credit card online? Yes. We will be happy to take your order by phone, fax, email or US Post. Please provide us with your credit card number, the verification code on the back of your card and the zip code where the bill is received. Please also provide us with a shipping address. We can not ship to a PO Box.

Do you send a confirmation e-mail? Yes. Once your order has been placed you will receive confirmation of your order by e-mail.
What is your return policy? Returns will be accepted within 30 days for store credit or exchange only. Matter will allow store credit and exchanges with receipt and the item in its original intact packaging. All credited returns or exchanges must be in original, unused condition. Return shipping, payment for return shipping, and any subsequent damages from return shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser. All special orders and items made to order are non-refundable.

Matter credit is valid for one year from the date of issue. Thereafter, unused credit is forfeited. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 48 hours of package arrival. Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt as no claims can be made after this time.
May I return something in person to Matter that I purchased online? Yes, items purchased online may be returned directly to the store within 30 days of purchase for store credit or exchange only with proof of purchase.
Can I cancel an order that I placed online? Yes. There is a 24 hour period from the time that the original order was placed in which you may cancel your order.
What if the item that I ordered is not in stock? We do our best to keep most items in stock. If an item that you have ordered is not available immediately we will inform you by e-mail and let you know how long the lead time is expected to be for the item. At that point you may choose to proceed or cancel the order. Lead time for items that are not in stock are generally displayed in the item description online.
When will my order be shipped and how soon will it arrive? In stock items will generally be shipped within 2 business days. You should receive your order within 7 business days from the date of shipping. Items not in stock will sometimes take longer to ship in which case we will notify you of the expected lead time.
Do you have a faster shipping service available? Yes, your order can be shipped priority, however there is an additional surcharge for this service, as indicated in the shipping section of the Shopping Cart.
Does matter provide gift wrapping? Yes, please specify that you would like a gift wrapped at the time you place your order. There is a box for special instructions provided.
What are your shipping and handling charges? Shipping charges are calculated based on size, weight and ship-to location.
Can I have my online order sent to a different location other than my billing address? Yes, If you provide us with an alternate shipping address in the US.
Can orders be shipped outside the U.S.? Matter does not ship outside of the US for orders taken online. Please call us for details at (877)862-8837.
How is sales tax calculated on orders? We collect sales tax on all orders shipped to addresses in New York. Residents in other states are responsible for complying with local state tax laws.
Can I purchase a gift certificate? Yes. Though at this time gift certificates are not available online. Please call us for details.
How do I redeem a gift certificate? A gift certificate is just like cash and may only be redeemed in the store.
